POETRY FROM THE KINGDOM
Recorded Live at Shambhala Mountain Center
The first Rigden Abhisheka drew a glorious and representative slice of our ever-burgeoning Shambhala sangha. Old friends - almost recognizing each other - reconnected. Youth, brought boundless beauty and ambrosial energy. During the talks, the Sakyong often spoke about the Cultural Necessities of the Shambhala Kingdom. The poets heard the call of the Mother Lineage - to create culture in the splendid linguistic now. Sitting around the old picnic table we designed a poetry event for the Old Dogs and the Up and Coming generation of word workers. You'll hear their "Beatnik" roar on this CD. The spirit of Allen Ginsberg lives! The readings on this CD drop coconuts on our sleepy heads - Wake Up! Keep language love at the forefront!
